Garden of Jewels...

Year 2010 was a bit different for me... i started to feel some balance, between being a homemaker and being busy doing my own things, i.e. designing jewelry.... Thus last year, i was quite productive, designing and creating accessories, mostly brooches (as usual...).
Among all of my brooches' designs i made last year, these are those i love so much....it came in a variety of themes.. all in lustrous jewel tones.....

Ring fever.....

Designing ring is something new to me..., since most of the time i almost always make brooches. But, guess what.. once i started it, i find it difficult to stop (big grin...). Here are some of my ring collection. Hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoy making it........... ;D

Debut Bazaar

Zifa accessories  was joining in FashionMarket @ La Piazza Kelapa Gading last 28th July-1st August, it is held by Fashion Pro magazine. 
Well, stupid me I guess, I was a bit over-excited, over-expecting... since it was my first bazaar. and kinda left me being disappointed. Of course since it was the first bazaar i've ever been joining, I wasn't looking for lots of sale, but i was hoping that i would get a little bit of attention from people coming to the bazaar.
Something was missing there, the crowd was not so 'fashion conscious',  the venue was so disoriented, nothing really 'rocks'.
But, what can I say? Experience is the best teacher right?
Anyway here's some pictures I took there (sorry for the image quality, next time will be better insyaallah)

this was the sketch I make on the display design. The box and the stalls I order 2 weeks before the venue. The box function as a seat when it's closed, and also as a storage place for the accessories boxes and stocks. While it's empty, it will function as a 'house' for the stackable stalls.

It turned out to be like this. I found that the stalls was over crowding the space if i lay them out as what i thought before. So i stacked them vertically.. and well.... what can i say, it might not be perfect, but  i'm quite happy with how it looks  ;)

Finally after some time.....
here is a sketch I made long time back in 2007, while i was preparing my wedding.

It kinda took me a while  to decide which one I should use...well, that.. if you can consider 3 years as a while : )  

And my final choice goes to this one:

Chocolate Sweetheart and friends........

This are several brooch i made this past few months...

Chocolate Sweetheart........This chocolate heart shape brooch is being my very favorite... it's made of swarovski imitation pearls, glass beads and quartz stone, tied with stainless steel wire

while this Dragonfly brooch..... which took so many hours to make, i love so dearly.... this was actually the real first piece of wire jewelry i ever make...

and this one........ is actually a total failure.. my first attempt on wire jewelry, learnt from Magdalena Borejko's tutorial (she's a real gem indeed). See how messy it turn out to be.... ;P
